Lucia lives and works in Downings, Co Donegal.

Lucia's mission statement:

"This extraordinary coastal area has provided me with land and seascapes that are incredibly beautiful and change throughout every day of the year. Painting outdoors distils my work to focus on the essentials, and all work benefits in turn from this direct and economical way of painting. Relearning the Irish language, the depth of description with its strong link with nature, the humour within its phrasing, is providing additional perspectives of the people and the place names around me."
